Magento Website (McAfee SiteAdvisor) Verification Process Error

When I use the McAfee Site Advisor site verifications sytem, I get the following messages:

It appears that the Web site domain.com (or domain.com) is returning an HTTP 2xx or 3xx status response code in the header of 404 pages.

We cannot verify a Web site that is configured this way because it allows anyone to verify themselves as the owner of your site. Please update your Web site server configuration to return 404 status codes in the headers for pages that do not exist. Once your site is configured this way then you can return and request a file name verification.

I don't know what to do and how to resolve this error. My website is build using the Magento platform.

My hosting company has said that this is due to PCI compliance from McAfee and that I would need their Business Hosting Account to resolve the issue. Something tells me that does not have anything to do with it and I could modify my shared server account using htaccess or other means to resolve the issue. I hope I'm right.

Well, there's great news. I was correct! This problem was due to a 301 Redirect I had implemented in the htaccess of my file. I commented the code > uploaded > and resubmit for verification and it worked! After verifying the website I reverted to the original htaccess file so everything is good to go again. I can't believe the hosting company was trying to upsell its services for such a simple solution. Shame on them!
