ok.. so.. you need to go to : http://www.net4.in and change the Nameservers in there..

http://www.net4.in is reporting :

   Name Server: NS5.WEBHOSTINGSPIDER.COM
   Name Server: NS6.WEBHOSTINGSPIDER.COM

but the gopondy.com domain information is :

   Created on.......: 2009-12-09
   Expired on.......: 2010-12-09
   Last updated on..: 2009-12-09

  Domain servers :

        Name Server: ns1.webpresenceworld.com
        Name Server: ns2.webpresenceworld.com

you may not have the option to increase this.. if you cant see the SOA record for expiry times / serial numbers etc then it must be done automatically..

A Name Server is basically the same thing as a Domain Server.. 'Domain Name Server' = DNS

there are 2 x components for domain names. The registrar (in this case http://www.net4.in  ) and the Primary and Secondary Name Servers as listed by the registrar  :

   Name Server: NS5.WEBHOSTINGSPIDER.COM
   Name Server: NS6.WEBHOSTINGSPIDER.COM

these two servers need to be running on a server running DNS Software (for linux this is normally BIND).  you need to make sure that the DNS Software IS running on your machine otherwise it'll never work.

Once you have the DNS Server software (BIND) configured and running on your machine, then you configure the zone files for your domain name. These zone files contain the A / CNAME / NS etc etc records you have specified above.

then you'll be good to go..

My feeling is that Yes, you've configured the zone files, but BIND isnt working / installed on that machine ?

my next question.

ns5 and ns6 .... do you own the webhostingspider.com domain name too ?? if not then its on THEIR ns5 and ns6 that you need to configure you zone files.. you cant suddenly 'become' them...
0
whspiderAuthor Commented:
We own webhostingspider.com

I have restarted the server and the BIND also
BIND is working because we have other servers configured on this domain and they work perfectly.

It should be fine now I guess or what are the other options we can try .... because pinging ns5 and ns6 gives the correct IP

the domain only directs to some other IP

Thankyou.

The issue was with the BIND
