Picked this up from a blog -<br />
In my friends case, it didn’t though, she got the message “screen saver can’t start because there are only videos in your selection” . After some exploring around the fix for this turned out to be that the “Use This Theme” dropdown must not be set to Classic – but pretty much anything else works!<br />

I have been using windows live photo gallery as a video screensaver on my windows 7 64 bit system for a few months now.<br />
<br />
For some strange reason it has stoped playing WMVs for no reason.<br />
If I go into the screensaver settings and in the preview it displays the following error.<br />
<br />
The screen saver can't start because there are only videos in your selection.<br />
<br />
This has not been a problem before.<br />
<br />
The videos play fine in windows media player and play in live photo gallery.<br />
I have tried to reinstall the live photo gallery and this does not resolve the issue.<br />
I also used to be able to change the display template of the screensaver but for some reason i cannot find this option anymore.<br />

Please help.

I have been using windows live photo gallery as a video screensaver on my windows 7 64 bit system for a few months now.
