Run Batch File Before and After Backup - Back Exec 11d

Hi,

I was wondering if it was possible to run batch files before and after the backup completes as want to stop a service to allow a backup to complete and then start it after.

In ArcServe I remember there was an option directly in the agent but can't find this with BE 11d.

Thanks.

Thank but I have a job already created and I need to run the batch files for just one server, not for all servers in the job.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

The pre post commands run against the whole job and there is no what that I have heard of to run against a single server. It would be a nice feature for them to add.

What you could do if you know the approxamate times of the backup is to use the task scheduler on that single server to run your commands before and after your backup window.

Your not the only one who has hit this problem:

Thanks for the help. I am suprised that it isn't included as ArcServe has had the option since at least version 2000!!

Pete.
