Can I migrate my SCOM server to my new domain?

We have a new domain with a one-way trust.  As we migrate servers from the old to the new domain, the SCOM2007 management server on the old domain loses contact with the agents. I know I can set up a gateway, but I'm considering setting up a new SCOM server on the new domain.  But as a quick fix, can I simply migrate the current SCOM server from the old domain to the new?  Since there is a trust relationship from new to old, will I then be able to see both the agents on the servers I've already moved to the new domain, as well as those still on the old domain?

Also, is the migration of a SCOM server from one domain to another easy?  Are there any pitfalls should I do that?

I should build a new SCOM in your new environment and put a gateway in the old domain to monitor your last few servers there. If in place you can bring down your old SCOM.
If you don't want to use a gateway create a SCOM connector from the old to the new and forward the alert critical to you and when the last servers are out bring the old SCOM down.
Use something like override explorer and the MP reports to asses your current settings and optimize them for you new environment.
