Do I need Exchange Replication Service

Our SBS 2008/Exchange 2007 server is generating Alerts saying that the Microsoft Exchange Replication Service has been stopped. When I look in Services.msc, the service is disabled.

I have not disabled this service, but I am wondering if this is an eroneous message. We only have a single server and we do not wish to replicate our Exchange data.

So in order to stop getting these alerts, i need to know whether I should start this service, or find a way to supress the alert.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You only need this service if you have more than one exchange server.

Ok I agree with that, So how come SBS is sending Administrative Alerts because of this, and how do I stop them?

Ok I found it. You go in and edit the notification settings.
