freebsd7 auto setup for xorg / freebsd8 manual setup ???

when I had freebsd7 on my machine I did not have todo anything to have xorg setup and working, yesterday I load freebsd8, alhtouhg my logitech keyboard and kensington mouse work on the freebsd command line(mouse is active although of course does not have any result but I can see the arrow move about) when I start up xorg, after installing it , I get no mouse or keyboard, : why is freebsd8 not automatically installing xorg this time around..what am I missing here...???

Starting with version 7.4, Xorg can use HAL to autodetect keyboards and mice. The sysutils/hal and devel/dbus ports are installed as dependencies of x11/xorg, but must be enabled by the following entries in the /etc/rc.conf file:
