Removing a legacy Exchange 2007 server from the domain

Hi Folks,
We have an Exchange 2007 Hub Transports/Mailbox server that was shut down and repurposed without uninstalling exchange or un-domaining it so it lingers on in our Exchange environment and AD.
I'm  pretty sure it needs to be removed using ADSIEDIT but I'd like specific instructions if anyone has done this before.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

run adsiedit.msc

connect to the configuration partition

browse to Services -> Exchange -> organization name -> exchange admin group (Xxxx) -> servers

find the server you wanna delete and delete it
