"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Get yourself an iron, wait for it to get hot, then hold the iron against the spot until it get hot and melts.  Many hobby shops sell little rubber bladder bulbs that you can use to suck up the blobs of melted solder.  Just be carful not to burn the contact point.  I would recommend taking a old dead motherboard, and practicing removing some of that curcutry before doing it on something you are trying to salvage.
