Enable Incoming Email on WSS 3.0

I am able to enable an incoming email on a site lists. However, I couldn't make the Directory Management Service such that it could create the mail contact automatically for me. Just wonder whether WSS 3.0 could enable this feature, or it is only come with SharePoint 2007.

From the MS article, it mentioned that
"If the application pool account for Central Administration is different from the application pool account for the Web application of the list or site that is enabled for e-mail, you must delegate additional rights to the Central Administration application pool account."

Currently there are only two site created "SharePoint - 80" and SharePoint Central Adminsitration v3 on my server. Does it mean the accounts running these two sites should be greated enough right ?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The OU that you created in Active Directory to hold these contact objects, Grant full control to the service account(s) you are using for running the various SharePoint components.
Did you configure domain credentials for all these, or are you using Network Service?
If so, give them access. If Network Service, add the computer object if possible. Or you may need to reconfigure to use domain accounts.

Thanks. I have already granted the account for Central Administration to administrator but it doesn't help. Any idea ?

Question 1: by "to administrator", what do you mean?
Question 2: are your services running under Network Service, or a domain account?
Question 3: Did you create a new OU for SharePoint to use?
Question 4: did you delegate full control to the OU used for the contacts?

If possible, review the Technet article related to this configuration: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc287879.aspx
Also if you can review event viewer on the front-end server, are there any specific errors or warnings displayed?
