"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You cannot.

It's an integral part of Outlook 2007 and newer versions.

It's not going to go away so the best thing is to make sure it is configured correctly.

That's not going to disable autodiscover.  It's just going to disable the autoconfiguration of the users exchange account.

This question has come up many times and it simply cannot be done.

There are so many aspects of Outlook 2007 that require autodiscover to be co figured correctly.

Demazter is correct (as usual).  Autodiscover is not something you can disable.  Better get used to it : )

Have you followed the instructions in my article you accepted as an answer yesterday?  Options 1 and 3 are your best bet.

You can't disable the autodiscover feature in Outlook 2007.
By default it is disabled in Exchange 2007, so it isn't functioning (responding) from the server side.

If you just want to stop it being found you could just delete the A record from your internal DNS and on your external DNS if you have set it up.  This would stop anyone finding it.

if it is not configured on the exchange 2007 server there is no A record.
