Date problem when migrating from Outlook Express to Outlook

I migrated from Outlook Express 6 to Microsoft Outlook 2003.

All the messages seem to have imported properly. However, I noticed that some of the messages/emails that I received show different received date. The received date in the Inbox shows 09-Apr-2010. However when I open the mail (by double clicking) it shows 03-Jun-2005, which is the correct/actual date the mail was sent to me.

Any help is appreciated

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can view the e-mails headers to confirm the dates if you open an e-mail then click on options on the toolbar this will enable you to view the headers which will contain all relevant information.

The date received in the inbox - was this the date you imported the data as this would be the date the mail was received by outlook.

Have you tried backing up / exporting to a pst from outlook express then importing to outlook to retain the values?
