I know there are other programs like this out there, but can it be used on anyones home or business network confidentally without causing any problems providing that I pick a quiet time in their company or at night when no one is making use of the network?

can it be used on:

win 2003
win 2008
win 2010 - when it comes out?

1. yes, it can be used on home or business networks.

2. you need to make sure the assessing computer has enough privileges to run the MAP Toolkit Wizards as the host needs to access other computers remotely.

3. there are four methods to discover target computers: AD based, LANMAN based, import file based, and IP range based. choose your way according to your situation.

4. the target computers are required to allow access to their WMI and Remote Registry Services through the firewall.

5. yes, the assessment can be done in off-peak hours if all the related computers are online (available).

6. yes, the MAP Tool is compatible with W2K, W2K3, W2K8.
