I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Also you must do some preparation before the upgrading, some suggestion steps are as follow:

1. Backup Solaris 8 OS for disaster recovery.
2. Detach the secondary mirroring device.
3. Remove meta-devices on both disks.
4. Ensure the promary boot disk is bootable after removing meta-devices.
5. If you had a third disk, use it for the upgrade. Remove the second disk and keep it aside.
