Live Blog Ajax and Coldfusion Setup

I'm trying to figure out how to set an auto refresh div where when data is changed say with text or image into a mysql data the page automatically updates with out the user having to reload the page and all its content. Ive been looking at some ways to do this but maybe I'm looking at the wrong direction. Is there anyone than can point me in the write direction with some sample coding. If you are familiar of the iphone live blog events and such I'm trying to create an effect like that for a different topic/event.

thanks

I would build a component with the queries to load the data you need. Set the function's access to remote. The use <cfajaxproxy> to connect to that component with javascript and get the data, then use javascript to refresh the page. The javascript needs to poll and re-fetch the info at a set interval. Hopefully this points you in the right direction, as this is a large task for just one question.

Here are the cf docs on that: http://livedocs.adobe.com/coldfusion/8/htmldocs/help.html?content=Part_3_CFML_Ref_1.html
