How do I connect my MacBook Pro to my Sony Bravia 52" Liquid Crystal?

I think the question says it all. I can connect my Sony Vaio PC laptop so easily with one of them 15 pin monitor cables (I believe that's what they're called). However the MAC doesn't seem to have an plug for this type of monitor cable. Is it just a matter of getting the right cable? Or what do I need to do.

the macbookpro has a mini display port output, you just need to buy an adapter from apple, is the DVI - usually a white cable

or a vga, usually blue or purpleish- that may be the 15 pin you are refering too.

What you need is this DVI to HDMI cable

You will also need an audio cable to go from your laptop to your TV.
The 15 pin video cable is the VGA cable that stokerbritt has in the second link. But if your TV has a DVI or extra HDMI input you should go with that, as it is a digital signal rather than analog. In that case you would need the first link posted for the mini display-port to DVI and pair that with a DVI cable or DVI to HDMI cable.

For audio you would need something like this:
