"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Is your project Interop based or Addin? If interop, have you install the Office Interop Assemblies 12.0?

Have you installed VS2008 SP1? The Office PIA 12.0 is intalled with it.

Also let us know what kind of project you have: What is the target? Office 2003 or 2007, did the project use VSTO, Interop or Import the office com?

What project template did you choose to create the project? Did you add any references?

The project had run smoothly for years on a machine with VSTO 2008 and Office 2007 Professional.
IT is a managed spreadsheet project. I installed extra code that referenced the "Serial Key Maker" software, whose name is self explanatory. Not sure if this may be it.
Thanks

It may be just, just commented out the code that refers to "Serial Key Maker" and build/run your code. If it runs OK, the your issue is "Serial Key Maker" software or your extra code
