What means mysterious RED LED on router Zyxel Prestige 661HW-D3?

We bought a new Zyxel ADSL router.
We configured it in the same way as an older Zyxel P660 router.
Internet works, but RED LED SHINES  started to shine (not blink) since some moment. The weird thing is that ACCORDING TO MANUAL THERE SHOULD BE NO RED LED as you can see on an attached picture.
Now it shines all the time (also after reboot and resetting to factory defaults and loading configuration from a file).

I'm asking because we are trying to configure IPSec and another weird thing is that IPSec Advanced configuration gets reseted randomly (the rest of configuration stays). Could this prove a malfunction?

Note: Our provider (Telefonica O2 Czech) does not use login and password to connect by ADSL.

Thank you for clues.

A couple of google links on this suggested upgrading the firmware on the router. You could try that. I suppose the other possibility is a manufacturing defect, or a hidden manufacturing troubleshooting process. You would have to contact Zyxel for that. ... Thinkpads_User

Thanks for a reply, I contacted Zyxel support.
Firmware is already upgraded to the latest found (Nov 2009).
I suppose it could be a hidden indicator of a problem. I hope Zyxel staff will reply.
If anybody knows what that red internet LED menas, let us know ;)

I have a reply from Zyxel support.
1/ Shining Red Internet LED is caused by malfunction in signalisation in connection with some types of DSLAMs, which are used by providers. It is only a incorrect signalisation and does not have any impacts on router function.

2/Advanced IPSec should by properly saved by clicking Apply first on advanced IPSec config page and then on VPN setup page.
