Remote Desktop Connect, Protocol Error, 0x2104

I have a client running a 2008 Standard Server with Automatic Updates turned off, and out of the blew after being in use for months, the Remote Desktop Connection is spitting out an error saying:

"Because of a protocol error detected at the client (0x2104), this session will be disconnected".

The RDP Client is any, XP, Windows 7, iphone application, all the same issue.  It has me stumped, they have uses who use the remote login obviously and unforunately I cant remote in to fix it.

Are there any 3rd party apps that work with the standard windows remote desktop or does anyone know of this issue and a fix for it?
