Point to control in default mode of FormView asp.net

Have a FormView with 3 different modes (ReadOnly as default, Insert and Update). How to point to control (text box, dropdown list, check box, etc.) in code behind if the control is placed in ReadOnly mode (item template).

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

MyFormView.FindControl("MyControlID")

This will find the control in the currently active FormView Template. If you specifically need the one in the ReadOnly view, you either have to set it to ReadOnly or use a different control.
