UP multicast testing


I am looking for a free windows or ubuntu based multicast testing tools... because I found that my switches can't pass enough multicast traffic(my application), I would like to isolate the problem..

try netcat (nc) or socat. But you will still need some scripts. I would guess there is a easier way, but if not ...

I need a useble solution
Or I just found mcast

but netcat works also like:
$ nc -u 12345

I'll still look around for something

I need Multicast receiver too
hmm I guess that's it. the -u specifies UDP protocol ... here is some help for it
that would be nc -l -s -p 12345
