Rulldll Error

After booting up my machine I got this message:

An exception occurred while trying to run "C:\PROGRA~1\ThinkPad\UTILIT~1\PWRMGRTR.DLL,PwrMgrBkGndMonitor"

Followed by this error message:

.NET-BroadcastEventWindow. rundll32.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x783a3457" referenced memory at "0x100542ec". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program

I ran a full system scan and found no virus/malware.  Any thoughts as to what might be causing this?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I would personally uninstall the Thinkpad utilities. They really dont need to be there, as they do functions that Windows natively does, they just use more resources..... The OEMs are bad about that.....

Then see if it happens again on bootup....

Might even be a .net problem, but I wouldnt think so yet......
just for one time try uninstalling all thinkpad utils as suggested above  and .NET and reboot the pc does it still show this?

now reinstall both thinkpad utils and .NET this will clear the doubt on what is causing this
