backup exec can't start services

I have a server which currently has backup exec running on it  and the server crashed.  I was able to recover the server a few days later and had to pull it out of AD and i gave it a new name and put it back into AD.  now services for backup exec won't start.

i did make sure to give the backup exec user log on as local privs.

i see the following error message in the event viewer:

The Backup Exec Device and Media Service could not start because the database recovery has failed.  Refer to the database recovery log for details.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I think it is necessary to reinstall after the server name has been changed.

There are a couple options, even creating a new database. I had a windows update corrupt the database on two of my servers at the same time.
