Enable/Disable GPRS only as needed

I have GPRS enabled on my phone which is causing my battery to drain as soon as just one day max. When I got it disabled from the service provider, then the battery stays long for three to four days which is cool. Now the issue is that I dont find the option to switch off GPRS and from the phone. this will make me disable/enable GPRS every time through service provider that is taling a long to activate/deactivate.

I dont see the option 'Celluar data network" under Settings->General-> Network. Mine is carrier locked phone, could this be the reason why dont have the option. Is there a way to get that option under 'Network' or any third party software that will not allow GPRS to work unless I want it to.

ASKER

:-) worked like a charm. Thank you.
Keep an eye out for iphone 4 software update, as far as I can remember from the keynote you'll be able to disable gps. I don't know which phone you have, all new features will work with a 3gs and most with 3g.
