Hi

I'd get a hold of Symantec Tech Service.  They have chats that are 24 hr.  They usually are great to work with and have a great remote control system to use if necessary.

I'll look and see if I find anything specific on the assets.

when you open the client interface of mail security for exchange do you see the exchance server address listed? It sounds like the server information is blank thats why you are getting the error message

well... im not sure how to manage a blank asset? you need to have the server information on it otherwise it wont work.
 
It should be something like server.yourdomain.local

on no problem.
 
You need to add an asset. Once you click on asset you should be able to find the server where you exchange resides and then you should be able to being managing it.

Well it depends.


When you purchase the license through symantec or a reseller you will be given a  code to redeem the license then it generates a slf key which you can impor.t the license key entitles you for version updates or upgrades plus support for which ever lengh you purchase.

I just bought a license key for 2 years I used to buy them every year and I got tired of reminding myself. Next time it expires I'm buying it for 3 or 4 to avoid the hassle :)

I browse the slf in notepad it gives the following:

Sir this SYmantec version is different than the symantec 10.5 corperate client on the server?

Sav corp 10.5 is the actual antivirus running on the server. Sav for exchange is a program for email/spam/virus filtering for exchage. they are 2 different products. They share the same virus definitions.
 
The bright mail anti spam is an add on feature for premiun anti spam.
