Android 1.6 and native exchange support

Hi all

We are new to Android platform so I am not sure what is the deal here.

Basically, we have a G1 phone which has Android 1.6.

1. Does it have native Microsoft Exchange support? We think its not there, but we could be wrong.

2. If it doesn't have, then what is the best alternative? Go in the order of price and then functionality. So we would like to know more of an app that has limited functionality but free compared to full functionality but high price. We wouldn't mind paying small amount if there is an app out there which can do full integration at a reasonable price.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
