I want to Enable Diagnostics Logging and to type in:

I'd say my keyboard was worn and it looked like a colon, but that would be lying. Thanks
Ascii character 124. Hold Left Alt key and type 124 on the numeric keypad.
press the alt-key (and keep it pressed)
then type 124 on your numeric keypad.
now relase the alt key.
you can always look on google for the 'ascii codes' and use these codes together with the alt-key.
