Encrypt sysprep

Is it possible to encrypt the sysprep.inf or the user password for "joindomain" like the local user password?

This microsoft article says no.

However there must be a solution possible to not have to have the passwords in plain text for anyone to see.

I am using Windows XP pro and will eventually switch to Windows 7.

But the information does reside in plain text after it is written and before it is deleted.  So the domain account can be trapped by anyone that doesn't les the process complete and removes the HD.  This is a security risk according do my security departement.  Potentially letting anyone delete machines from our network.

Your only other option is not to include it - then you have to type it manually when prompted.
