Look at the example below. At load time "A" is replaced with the content of content1.asp.

Also, "B" is set to be a "link" so that when you click on "B", then "C" get's replaced with the contents of yourFile.asp

Not sure what exactly you were looking for. Try the attached example. Simply provide valid file names.

NOTE: the files MUST be from your site. You cannot "import" files from a remote site/domain.
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
 "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
        <head>
                <title>hielo</title>
                <script type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.js"></script>
                <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
                $(function(){
$('#a').load('content1.asp');
                        $('#b').bind('click',function(){ $('#c').load('yourFile.asp'); });
                });
                </script>

        </head>
        <body>
                <div id="a">A</div>
                <div id="b">B</div>
                <div id="c">C</div>
        </body>
</html>
