Oracle ODBC driver Installation

I want to install Oracle ODBC drivers on client machine. For this i have installed Oracle 10g client software on users machine. After installation i am not able to see any oracle ODBC drivers on System DSN/create new data source.

In regedit file no oracle drivers available (ODBCINST.INI).

I have followed below link to install oracle client software.

http://kb.iu.edu/data/apaa.html#odbc

After installing client, is there any extra steps i have to follow for drivers installation?

It is an windows platform.

Maybe you have a corrupt installer file?

Try to re download and re install.

ASKER

Hi ry_berk,

I have downloaded from below link

http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/database/oracle10g/htdocs/10201winsoft.html

so there is no way of corruption in file.
Have you tried to look here for only the driver download?

http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/windows/odbc/index.html
yes i have tried, no luck.

My database server is oracle 9i & client is 10g...this is not a problem right?
That shouldn't matter.  As long as you install the ODBC provider you should be able to see it in the create DSN list.
Microsoft ODBC for Oracle is a different driver though. Check to see that you have that one.
ry_berk,

check out http:#30639583.

They want the Oracle ODBC driver not the Microsoft ODBC driver for Oracle.
