"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It's a variation of Symantec's PureDisk - it's a variable block-length deduplication product.

Some additional information: it can deduplicate the data at source server or at the destination server. It can also interface with hardware deduplication products that support the OST standard.
I don't think it variable block length. You can specifiy the block length in the configuration of the option, but it won't dynamically change the block length while processing the stream, as a DataDomain dedupe box would be capable of doing.
