Crystal in Visual Studio 2008 Openning Crystal Reports

On a new machine, in Visual Studio 2008, when I open a Crystal Report that is part of a project, it open Crystal 11 outside of Visual Studio. Of course, it does not recognize the project dataset. How

How are you opening the report?

It is my understanding that VS2008 only supprts the CR2008 and VS2008 versions of Crystal.

Do you have CR XI installed on the machine?

I do have CR XI installed - need it for my ERP system.
This is a new machine. My old one has both, and VS2008 evokes Crystal in the porject.

In the old machine, there is a "Crystal Report Editor". No so on the new one. Doesn't that come with VS2008?

It depends on the edition of VS?  I think it needs to be the Prfessional edition.  Standard and Express don't come with Crystal.

You should have Cryswtal with that.  I think it requires a separate install.
