figure problem in word 2007

Hi, Experts

I have a problem to use "insert caption" function in the word 2007.

<problem>
after figure was created by "insert caption". When I try to use "cross reference" to insert only figure number in my content (the text part of word), sometimes but not always it will insert figures as well.
in my attached picture shows this happens when I try to make a "table of figures". As you can see Figure 1~3 is correct. but figure 4and figure 5 they come with figures which make me crazy and I need manual delete them. This problem happen everywhere in my word document. It also happens when I use "update figures". so I have fix them many many times....

could someone help me about this. thanks in advance

Hi
With the cursor, mark the location of the image in the document and make sure it is defined as "normal" type.

This problem can happen if the picture is inserted within the "caption" type.

hoping to be helpful
