Send data from a Pervasive DB and MS SQL Server DB

I have two different types of databases that I want to talk to each other but I can't seem to get them to work, so I need advice on approaches.   One DB is Pervasive, the other is MS SQL Server.

What is the best method to get the two to talk?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Are you looking for one-way or two-way conversations?  If you are strictly wanting to read the Pervasive data from SQL Server, you might look at Linked Servers.  If you want to maintain the data between the two databases, you might look at the Pervasive Integration products.

If the Pervasive database has data dictionaries, then you'll have the easiest time using DTS or SSIS from SQLServer to query the database directly.

Much about answering the question depends on your version of Pervasive and if you have DDF's.  There are white papers that detail how to figure this all out here:
