Wrong date and time on Shoretel IP Phone syncing to win2003 srv.

Greetings,

We have a shoretel voip system. Currently, all my IP phones are configured to use my windows 2003 as the NTP server. My windows 2003 is GMT-5 and the date and time is properly configured.

My issue is that my phones suddenly don't have the good time. We don't use the windows 2003 dhcp capability. We use our default gateway instead.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Does your DHCP server (which I assume also handles your phones?) have your Windows NTP server as part of its lease?

I'm not sure of what you ask me.

All my phones are configured **manually** to use the NTP server 172.16.0.253 which is my windows 2003 server.

All my phones effectively get their IP address from my cisco 881 router but it's the only thing that my cisco 881 send.

I configured my cisco 881 with this command just to be sure : ntp peer 172.16.0.254

sorry you should read this

172.16.0.253 = 172.16.0.254

OK... When you say that your phones don't have good time, what kinds of time are they showing, and is the time error consistant (all errant phones have the same wrong time) or random (each errant phone has a unique wrong time)?
