Yeah ! all of your solutions are acurate but the issue was the netbackup was not active for 3 years and many of the clients did not exist or did not have the agent !!!! &nbsp; simple issue but i was unable to check at the time THANKS !!!!!

I am getting this error when I got clients and &quot;connect' or &quot;properties&quot; I get &quot;cannot connect on socket &quot;&nbsp;I can connect to the server that has the netbackup server running on it , I am guessing the first thing would be to restart the sevices on the client or reboot , and then check to see if the ports are open for comuunitcation , anything else ?

netbackup cannot connect on socket error
