Cannot send from BlackBerry Bold 9000 through BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Server)

I have a situation where everything was working fine, and then one BB Bold 9000 would not send through the BES.  Went back through all the setting, for the user and everything was OK, nothing changed, and could not ever get it to send mail.  Two months later the second stopped sending through the BES.

We have a total of three (3) and two stopped working, the third is still working.

No privileges have changed.

Nobody has even logged in as the BESAdmin/Administrator (except for me, just to check privileges and settings and look around a little bit).

All users are set the same.

They just quit sending mail.

They receive, they just don’t send.

Contacts, Calendar and Task all work fine, just cannot send mail.

Had to call BES tech support and work with a tech for 5 hrs to get the problem fixed.

Ended up creating a second BESAdmin2 account to fix the problem.

BES tech support could not tell me why this issue happened, they just blamed it on Microsoft, as many software companies do.

My guess is your send as has lost permissions some how.   You can run the dsacls command to set all it up correctly.   To run the command you will need to install the Support Tools.

Here is an example of the command that needs to be run, just change youraddomain and local (if not local), and DOMAIN to your domain

  dsacls "cn=adminsdholder,cn=system,dc=youraddomain,dc=local" /G  "Domain\BESadmin:CA;Send As"
