"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

no reason why not.
You won't be benefitting from the x64 architecture but you can still install x32 operating systems on x64 hardware

Yes you can, having just looked at the spec it appears to be VT capable or rather the e5504 is VT capable so you could run 64bit and even run a VM host with 64bit clients, so I really would consider not installing a single 32bit OS

Could you post a link to the product page just to make sure I am looking at the right peice of kit? ;)

HP DL380 G6 E5504 (491505-xx1)  is compatible with Windows 2008 Server (botth 32 and 64 bit) although it's not clear at the compatibility matrix web page (http://h71028.www7.hp.com/enterprise/cache/458915-0-0-0-121.html).
