Extra options not showing in PWA's View Options

I have two servers a Development server and a Production, Project Enterprize server 2007

On my development server under my tasks in the Gray-ish "view options" area above the task list,
i have 4 checkboxes  (show only current tasks, Show project name, timephased view, expand all)
however on my development server i only have 2 (show only current tasks, Show project name )
does any one have an idea on how to enable the other two checkboxes
thanks

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

have you checked if both servers are on the same service pack or CU level? Sounds like they are not..

You can check this by looking at the properties of the "Microsoft.Office.Project.Server.Library.dll" file in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office Servers\12.0\Bin. It should be 12.0.6520.5000 or higher, this is the October 2009 CU described here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/974990/en-us

BTW you can also see that information by going in to central Admin
and then going to site actions--> site settings.  and then version is located in the site information at the top

Both my servers are running  12.0.0.6421

Hi,

sorry, that's not the complete story. The version you're seeing there is the version of the SharePoint library. In one of my systems that e.g. does NOT show the "Timephased view" option the version shown in the Central Admin is 12.0.0.6219, the version of the Projectserver DLL as mentioned above is 12.0.6300.5000.

Would you mind checking the binaries on both your servers?

Well...they MUST be somewhere...

How is your infrastructure setup? Is this a single box installation or a farm? Is the Projectserver SSP running on Web front end or on a separate server? I suppose you have Administrator access to these servers?

a search of the OS found the file
Development (the one with 4 checkboxes)  12.0.6413.1000

Production  12.0.4518.1014

do you know what KB or patch will take me up 2 hundreths of a version level,

Dr. Thomas HenkelmannDirector Consulting ServicesCommented:
:) don't mess with the hundreths...

This is SP2 for Projectserver 2007:

Please be aware that Microsoft released 4 additional Cumulative Updates since then, the latest one is from February 2010.

Good luck!

Curious to know if you know of effects that this would have on a Sharepoint Server that is already at SP2.
i host this project server on an enterprize Sharepoint server...

Will have issues there?

thanks

Dr. Thomas HenkelmannDirector Consulting ServicesCommented:
The SP2 mentioned above is the SP2 for the OFFICE servers only, SP2 for SharePoint Server is a separate package and obviously has been installed before
