I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

A lot of the good ones have gone to be trails, not freeware anymore...   but you can give these free ones a try:

There are many more that offer free trials for 30 days or so, then you have to buy.

FYI, many of the consumer security camera's (i.e. Linksys PTZ cams) come with a Linksys monitoring utility that does the recording with motion sensing.....     HAve you bought the cams yet?   You might want to look into one of those as well.

If you wanted, you could try to contact Panasonic and see if they will send you a replacement Cd....

The 800 number is on that page.

Not much in the works of free.  Milestone and OnSSI are the kings but Exaccq is available for about $450 per cam.
