NLB + Remote Desktop services farm

Hello,

I have got 3 terminal servers, with NLB i want to create load balacing so when one host crashes that the end users doenst notice anything (like they do with dns round robin)

All machines are windows 2008 r2.
All machines have 2 networkcards.

One public network: 192.168.0.0/24 (gateway 192.168.0.254)

One dedicated NLB network: 10.0.0.0/24 (no gateway)
This network is on a dedicated vlan.

Now i have tried many things and followed many blogs but i can get it working..
The latest on i tried was this one:
http://sefic.name/2010/01/08/how-to-windows-server-2008-r2-nlb-cluster/

So i have added all servers in all hosts files pointing to the 10.0.0.0/24 range.

How should i configure it? I want all the traffic unicast?Multicast? going through the NLB network interfaces..

Regards

Hans

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I believe you need clustering not NLB for this to work.

it is best practise to use round robin or NLB for terminal server loadbalancing
