Voice modulation on Trixbox.

I was wondering if there is an addon for Trixbox 2.8/Asterisk 1.6 that will allow users to change their voice in realtime?  Is it possible to allow pitch change, or even special effects (for instance, a "robot" voice)?

Thank you

No asterisk is not designed to do that. Most of the time it tries to pass the audio between the two endpoints directly and will only ever convert audio formats on the fly if it has to.
The only way you could do it would be if you configured both ends of the audio conversation to use a different codec and then modified the asterisk source code to gets the codec to do the pitch adjustment.

Would be far easier to just use a hardware pitch converter and link that to the microphone or the handset if its a desk phone.

Hi, take a look at this product sounds like it could do it.

That should work if you are using a software voip client connecting to asterisk. It will have to run on the client and not the asterisk server.
