disable proxy settings via group policy

Hi,

At this moment we're using a proxy server and configured Internet Explorer connection by using a GPO and User Configuration\Policies\Windows Settings\Internet Explorer Maintenance\Connection\Proxy Settings

Now, I want to use wpad protocol and enable Automatic Configuration. I've unchecked the Proxy Server box in the Group Policy but Internet Explorer still has enabled that check-box in the clients. How could I remove the Proxy Server settings through a Group Policy?.

Thank you.

Hi,

http://www.techtalkz.com/windows-help/34843-ie-proxy-settings-not-applied-gpo.html

If you go to the bottom of the thread, you can see the resolution for my issue.

The last exclusion in the proxy exceptions list had three slashes.

Thank you.

I've also read that article and it's not very useful.

It only says that I have to clear the check and that's already done with no success.

Thank you.
