Open Outlook. Run Tools -> Instant Search -> Search Options and make sure search is enabled and running. Also make sure Search on your local machine is set up, enabled and started. ... Thinkpads_User

I chcked that. When I click on Indexing status. It states that Outlook is currently indexing your items. I have emails in the pst. But When I type it in search - Body or Subject words, it doesn't display me the output
Next step, then, is to rebuild the Search Index. I see that option (rebuild index) as a Windows Search option. I have Search running on the host machine, so Outlook is not giving me an index rebuild option.

It that does not work, I think the next option would be to consider an Office Repair or possibliy re-installing Office.

I have Office 2007 installed on my Windows 7 Pro machine and Search is enabled in Windows and in Outlook. It finds things just fine. So if your Search is running, it must be something else. ... Thinkpads_User
Already clicked on Rebuild Indea. Now I am applying some security updates from Microsoft. Windows Search is running. If I click Start - Search - and type in the words, I find the emails related to it, but When I click Open on it, I can;t open
Perhaps at this point, you need to wait for indexing to complete (it can take an hour or two). Once the rebuild is complete and you can find the emails you want (as per above post), if you cannot open them, it must be an Outlook problem. That is why (in this event) I suggested repair or reinstall. ... Thinkpads_User
It worked
If my suggestions worked, then why are you accepting your own solution (which were all questions)?

I provided all possible options and finally Ashishvns said "it worked". Since my posts were all answers and "it worked", this thread should not be closed to the asker.   ... Thinkpads_User

All,

Since it seems the asker did, indeed, resolve their own issue (even if it was because they failed to provide the experts with sufficient information to assist properly, I have no other option than to close this with that solution as the accepted answer.

I realize this may be frustrating to all parties concerned, but please remember the aim of Experts Exchange is to identify and award points in recognition of solutions being provided, rather than to reward effort.
