Dropbox with Outlook ?

Hello Gurus,

I have 2 computers I use mainly. 1 at work and 1 at home.

I would like to have my outlook with me on both.

the settings are rather complex , many accounts...etc...

Can have my pst file on the dropbox folder and use it from both PCs ?
(I will never have both outlook programs open at the same time.--can't be on both places at the same time !!)
Any idea ? experience ?

thanks.

I have no problem with that.
My issue is mainly with how solid is this layout ?
Mainly :
1-is dropbox reliable ?
2-since dropbox will sync all new files...what happens when I am opening my pst for a whole 4 hours during the morning ?
It will try to sync a file that is in use ... will there be any corruption ?

thanks

Hi, ammounpierre.

I cannot speak on the Dropbox issue since I've never attempted to use it with a .pst file.  You mention that "the settings are rather complex , many accounts...etc..." so I wanted to let you know that your .pst file does not store account information.  It only stores messages, contacts, appoints, etc.  The account information is stored in the registry.  You will have to configure everything from scratch on your home computer.  The .pst file just contains the data, not the settings.
BlueDevilFan, Thanks for the info but I know that.
I will do that. My problem is with the data... I hate IMAP and I need my mails on a pc and not needing internet if I want to check an old email.

@ammounpierre, the advice provided here -  http:#a30786099 is the exact advice I provided here - http:#a30784584.  What gives?
Would you like to split the points between http:#a30786099 and http:#a30784584 or would you like a mod to do it?
how do i split the points now ?
You can simply Object to your own action and then reallocate points/grades as desired. Just enter something like "need to select a different answer" as the Reason for the Objection, and then you'll be able to interact with your question as needed.
NEED TO REDISTRIBUTE POINTS
Glad I could help and thanks for the points!
