ANZ Bank Direct Entry File Import problem

I have an Australian "aba" file for import into Direct Entry Banking.
This file format works perfectly well with several other Australian Banks, but is failing on ANZ.
ANZ has failed to provide any useful assistance.  File format seems to be in compliance with ACPA specifications.

Does anyone know what might be different about ANZ ?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

ANZ Bank require the filename to have the extension .aba Most other Australian banks seem not to require a specific extension and a simple .txt is acceptable.  Hence the file content and format were correct, but the file failed validation on its name alone.  Discovered by chance - answering own question !
