Copy & paste powerpoint slides from one presentation to another while keeping source formatting in PowerPoint 2007

In PowerPoint 2003 I used to be able to copy slides from one presentation into another and it would keep the source formatting for those slides.  I can't figure out how to copy and paste slides in PowerPoint 2007 and keep the source formatting.  I know that I can reuse slides and open them from file and keep the source formatting, but is there a faster way to do this?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

So when you paste do you not see a "Paste Option" button (mini clipboard)?

This allows you to choose "keep source format"

If ity's not there try
Office button > PowerPoint Options > Advanced > Cut,Copy Paste > Show Paste Options
