Need to install netbeui on Windows 2008 R2 server

Hi. Due to certain types of connections I'm forced to install the unsupported Netbeui protocol on a Windows 2008 R2 server. I was able to install it during testing on a Windows 2008 32 bit standard ed server but when I tried to install the protocol on this server it tells me that it can't find the driver for it. Any ideas?

Try having the 2008 DVD in the system when installing.
I believe you will have to downgrade the system.  2008 R2 is 64 bit only.  I'm not sure which version you installed on 2008 before, but since R2 is 64 bit only, I'm guessing there never was a 64 bit version of the protocol, since it wasn't supported in 2003 at all and that was the first version of Windows to support x64 platforms.

I was able to successfully install NetBeui on a Server 2008 Standard x32 Server with no issues at all. The posts are 100% correct NetBeui is NOT supported on a X64 Server.
