"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Through the GUI head over to admin --> management --> Security and Monitoring Information and click add and select SW Security apps on a new host. Assuming you don't have an agent running locally to send the data to MARS click the logging information button and select Pull. Fill out the rest of that form and hit submit. Back in the add window make sure you've got all the fields filled out and hit next to continue the process, once done MARS should be pulling logs.

so you need anothing on the server like snare or something to do that?

If you were pushing from the windows host to the mars then yes, you'd need something to broker those connections. When you're pulling you do not.
