How do I populate an ObjectDataSource from code behind?

I have the below objectdatasource to populate my listview control...

Attached is my Traders class and GetList method. How can I alter this to pull my "Rating" and "Id" values from my sql database instead of using the get set approach?

using System;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.Linq;
using System.Web;

public class Traders
    public string Name { get; set; }
    public int[] Rating { get; set; }
    public int Id { get; set; }

    public List<Traders> GetList()
        List<Traders> tempList = new List<Traders>();
        for (int i = 0; i < 5; i++)
            Traders myTraders = new Traders();
            myTraders.Id = i;
            myTraders.Name = "Traders " + i.ToString();
            myTraders.Rating = new int[] { 0, 0, 0, 0, 0 };
            myTraders.Rating[i] = i + 1;
        return tempList;

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

you can use SqlDataReader like shown here and loop through to fill your list...
